WireTap Studio Effects Preferences
WireTap Studio can be set to add any Audio Unit effect to recordings as they are made.
To access the effects pane of the WireTap Studio preferences, go to the WireTap Studio menu and select Preferences, then click on the Effects button.
Add Effect - use this menu to select and add Audio Unit effects.
Minus button - use this button to remove Audio Unit effects.
Factory Preset - use this menu to choose from presets for a particular Audio Unit.
Custom - use this menu to create and save an audio effect with custom settings.
LivePreview - use this button to turn LivePreview on and off. Use LivePreview to listen to the source audio encoded at the settings you have chosen before you commit to the recording.
If an Audio Unit was added to a recording as it was made, so long as the Record Lossless original option was checked in the saving pane of the preferences, WireTap Studio's lossless and non-destructive editor can easily remove the Audio Unit (or add new ones) after the fact with no loss of quality or audio to the original recording. For more on using Audio Units in the editor, see Using the Effects Inspector in the Editor.
